One of the primary benefits of integrating iMarq with Geotab is the automation of maintenance work orders, including those for Preventive Maintenance (PM). In the past, scheduling and generating PM work orders required manual processes based on miles or hours driven, or going through DVIR reports to create work orders – all of which are time-consuming and susceptible to errors. Through this integration, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) generated from Geotab are accessible in iMarq, which can now trigger maintenance work orders/ tasks along with location, based on mileage or hours driven or vehicle diagnostics (e.g. engine light). iMarq can also update any back-end maintenance system (CMMS /EAM) with this Work Order information. This system combines the functionality of Geotab and iMarq to create a process tailored to meet the fleet’s maintenance needs. The triggers, schedule, and automation are configured specifically for the business and can be modified at any time for that fleet.
Real-time data from Geotab, including vehicle diagnostics and performance metrics, can thus be leveraged to make informed maintenance decisions along with the vehicle location within the iMarq system. This integration enables a proactive approach to maintenance management, reducing downtime and optimizing fleet efficiency.
