Pinpoint: iBot’s New Way to Ask Your Manuals Anything

Connixt holds AI to the same bar as every other iMarq feature. If a technician in the field will not use it, if their manager cannot act on it, if the people signing off cannot justify it, it does not ship. That bar applies whether the feature is meant to make the crew faster today or to show management something they could never see before, because the same iBot, working from the same data, is built to do both.

“We built iMarq for one reason: to make life easier for the people who keep assets running. AI does not change that goal, it extends it,” says Prabu Ekambaram, CTO and Co-Founder of Connixt.

Pinpoint, the newest capability inside iBot, is a direct result of that principle.

Every technician has been here: a piece of equipment is acting up, and the answer is almost certainly sitting somewhere in a 900-page technical manual. If only there were time to find it.

iMarq’s AI assistant, iBot, already helps crews get answers fast. Until now, when a technician asked a question, “I’m having a leak in this part of my truck, what do I do?”, iBot searched the web for a general answer. With this release, iBot introduces Pinpoint, a new capability that searches directly within an organization’s own equipment manuals and technical documentation, and points technicians to the exact answer, down to the page and paragraph.

How It Works

iBot already knows the truck, the job, and which documents apply to it. When a technician opens a work order, Pinpoint has workshop manuals, fleet SOPs, and technical bulletins for that specific asset already on file, and it suggests the questions most commonly asked for that kind of job.

Ask iBot a question the way you’d ask a colleague. Pinpoint searches across manufacturer manuals and your organization’s own maintenance documentation, finds the relevant section, and grounds its answer directly in that material rather than generating a generic or best-guess reply. Every answer comes back with a citation to the exact page and paragraph it came from, along with a confidence indicator, so technicians can verify the source in seconds.

If a newer bulletin supersedes older guidance, Pinpoint flags that automatically, so a technician is never working off an outdated number without knowing it.

Where Pinpoint Makes the Biggest Difference

Pinpoint is useful for any technician, but it’s particularly effective in a few common fleet situations:

Multiple OEMs in the same fleet. When equipment comes from different manufacturers, each with its own manuals and conventions, technicians normally have to know which binder to reach for before they even start looking. Pinpoint removes that step; it searches across all of an organization’s documentation at once, regardless of which OEM produced the equipment.

Crews with differing experience levels. A newer technician doesn’t have the same instinct for “which page this is probably on” that a 20-year veteran does. Pinpoint levels that gap, giving every technician the same fast path to the right answer, no matter how long they’ve been on the job.

Multiple technologies in use concurrently, like a hybrid fleet. Fleets running a mix of technologies, diesel and electric, older and newer equipment generations, often mean crews are juggling documentation for systems that work very differently from one another. Pinpoint handles that mix without requiring the technician to remember which manual applies to which unit.

Why It Matters

Manuals only help if someone can actually find the right page in time. Pinpoint gives every technician the equivalent of a colleague who’s read the whole manual and remembers exactly where everything is, without the wait, and without depending on years of experience or familiarity with a specific piece of equipment to get there.

Pinpoint is one of three major additions in the iMarq Summer ’26 Release, alongside a dedicated Tires module and a new integration with Isaac Instruments telematics.
